Dr. McManus was voted second in the list of favorite shoreline Chiropractors!
In 1990, our daughter Madeline developed a rare condition called Legg Perthes. This condition blocks the blood flow to the femur bone which causes the femoral head to disintegrate.
Madeline had to stay off her leg as much as possible. She could only get around on crutches or using a wheelchair. The only option for her was surgery to screw her leg into her hip. She was in bed followed by rehabilitation for five months.
Madeline began to walk “normally” in the 6th year of recovery. Unfortunately, between the atrophy acquired over the years and the continued aching, we were at a loss of what to do next.
We went for PT at 4 different facilities with very little improvement. Finally we found a doctor who would treat Maddy successfully, allowing her to recover fully from her Legg Perthes.
Her name is Dr. Bryce McManus, a 2000 graduate of Daniel Hand High School in Madison Ct. She designed a shoe lift, orthotics and an individualized exercise program, along with using an innovating treatment method of KinesioTaping. In less that 2 months, Madeline was walking without pain, something she could not do for 10 years.
At this point, Maddy walks five miles, three times a week and can finally participate in school activities. Thanks to Dr. McManus, Madeline went from lying on the sofa everyday after school to spending time with her new activities and friends. We feel so grateful for Bryce. She is an amazing Doctor!

When I first came to Dr. McManus’ office, I was seeking relief from headaches, tightness in my neck, shoulder and lower back. A close friend who knew I had been experiencing this pain for years recommended that I give Dr. McManus a try. Honestly, I thought I was just going to have to “live with it”, but thanks to Dr. McManus, I began to feel better after the first treatment. For now, I choose to continue my treatments on a weekly basis because I never want to feel that way again! And thanks to Dr. McManus, I am able to attend workout sessions 4 times a week without any concern of hurting myself. She has helped me choose the exercises that are right for me and updates my program of exercise as I continue to improve! In addition, she has successfully set me on the right path for healthier eating habits and selecting supplements for my personal needs. I now consider going to the chiropractor an integral part of my new healthy lifestyle.

I have gone to Dr. M two times now when I have been hurt playing field hockey. The first time, I heard she might be able to help me with my shin splints that kept coming back even after physical therapy. After three visits, I was pain-free! The second time, I had sprained my ankle and by going to her office a few times a week, I cut my recovery time in half and was able to play in our state tournament! I tell all my teammates about Dr. M.

I have gone to chiropractors my whole life, but when my children started complaining of growing pains, I asked around for someone with a gentle touch. I learned about Bryce and how she focuses on stretching and joint mobilizing and muscle work, and she turned out to be perfect for my family. We see her about once or twice a month and my little ones actually look forward to going to this doctor! She is a wonderful and caring holistic, wellness doctor.

Prior to seeing Dr. M for a hip condition, I was walking with a cane and unable to work out or be physically active. Within a few weeks of seeing Dr. M, I was walking normally and able to get back to my Crossfit workouts. Before I saw Dr. M, I had seen a number of orthopedic surgeons, had undergone surgery and physically therapy, and nothing had worked. She is nothing short of a miracle worker.
